We are currently seeking a Data Engineer to strengthen our team and provide technical guidence and on-going support.

Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Collaborate on the implementation of advanced data solutions within Microsoft Azure, emphasizing a minimum of 5 years of experience in data engineering.
  • Focus on developing and optimizing ETL processes, crafting robust data models, and constructing analytical pipelines within the Finance domain.
  • Contribute significantly to the ongoing development and maintenance of ETL processes and data models that underpin crucial analytical pipelines.
  • Participate actively in architectural discussions surrounding cloud data warehousing and machine learning platforms, showcasing expertise with a focus on Azure and Databricks.
  • Design and execute efficient cloud infrastructure solutions, utilizing an infrastructure-as-code approach to streamline operations.
  • Provide expert technical support to business and content teams, addressing strategic technology platform needs, and actively participating in issue resolution.
  • Adhere to and advocate for software engineering best practices, including version control, testing, and continuous integration (CI).
  • Engage in pre-sale activities such as processing RFPs, developing proposals, and communicating effectively with potential clients to showcase the depth of experience in Azure and Databricks.
  • Qualifications and Education Requirements
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, with a strong focus on Azure Data Factory, Synapse, and related services.
  • Certification in Azure is highly desirable.
  • Proven track record in designing and implementing Data Lake and data warehouse solutions.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Cloud Data Services and Architecture.
  • Proficient in Python and JavaScript for development.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, ARM, and Bicep.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, with a strong focus on Azure Data Factory, Synapse, and related services.
  • Certification in Azure is highly desirable.
  • Proven track record in designing and implementing Data Lake and data warehouse solutions.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Cloud Data Services and Architecture.
  • Proficient in Python and JavaScript for development.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, ARM, and Bicep.

Nice to have

  • Exposure to technologies like Airflow, Collibra, Docker, Kubernetes, and open-source databases (Postgres, SQL, MariaDB, MySQL).
  • Experience with AWS data services and infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with OpenAI services and Azure AI services.
  • Knowledge of data governance tools like Purview and Collibra.
  • Exposure to Azure Analysis Services, Azure Event Hubs, Azure Data Explorer, and streaming technologies such as Azure Stream Analytics and Kafka.
  • Understanding of Azure IoT Hub.
