In order to complete their European IT Tech Team they are now hiring a Data Centre & Cloud Manager.

Tasks

  • Monitor and manage the smooth delivery and operations of all vendors and services provided by the Data Centre & Cloud team.
  • Act as the leadership and point of escalation for the Data Centre & Cloud team.
  • Oversee the deployment and maintenance of data centre and cloud infrastructure, ensuring it meets business needs.
  • Ensure the security and compliance of data centre and cloud services, adhering to industry standards and regulations such as NIST.
  • Optimise the performance and cost-efficiency of data centre and cloud services.
  • Improve the reliability and resiliency of data centre and cloud services, reducing the number of P1/2 incidents.
  • Foster improved vendor relations, ensuring effective collaboration and service delivery.
  • Manage cloud environments, ensuring they are secure, compliant, and optimized for performance.
  • Collaborate with IT Leadership and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and support for data centre and cloud initiatives.
  • Stay updated on the latest technologies and trends in data centre and cloud, incorporating relevant advancements into the organisations strategy.

Requirements

  • College diploma or university degree in business, information systems, or technical related subject.
  • Minimum of 7 years hands-on, technical experience of working as part of an IT infrastructure team.
  • Minimum of 5 years management experience as part of an IT infrastructure team.
  • Proven experience of working in a federated matrix model.
  • Proven project management skills, with the ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • In-depth knowledge of Data Centre & Cloud concepts, tools, infrastructure and capabilities.
  • Experienced with multiple Cloud software products, platforms and vendors.
  • Strong vendor management skills, with experience managing third-party relationships.
  • Strong professional accreditations / certifications such as ITIL, Azure, AWS, Google etc.
  • Language English (Fluent).
