We are looking for a senior JavaScript or Typescript developer for our Tech Team at a company that works in the financial sector. The position requires minimum 7 years of experience in JavaScript or TypeScript development, at least 5 years with Node and 3 years with React.

Tasks

Rapidly prototyping and implementing a new Node + React SSR runtime as part of a greenfield modernization project
Working with the architect and the tech leads to advise and share your opinions on architectural decisions, the technology stack and best practices.
Testing your own code and taking full ownership we build it, we run it, from unit tests to automated QA
Documenting your changes and writing developer guides
Proactively monitoring and continuously improving the performance on the runtime, identifying bottlenecks early in the process. Were hosting a critical public infrastructure with strict SLAs, high traffic, strive for cutting edge user experience and must adhere to industry regulations.
Cooperating with project management and tech leadership when collecting requirements and stakeholder feedback
Mentoring and guiding junior JavaScript developers in the team and across partner teams (you will not be expected to take up line management duties)

Requirements

Minimum 7 years of experience in JavaScript or TypeScript development, at least 5 years with Node and 3 years with React
Strict adherence to clean coding concepts and rigorous testing (we dont mandate TDD or test first, but taking ownership of formal unit, performance, end to end and regression testing is a must)
Experience with SEO and analytics tools (Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics or similar), and working knowledge of SEO-friendly websites
Deep understanding of CDNs, caching and HTTP standards
Solid understanding and adherence to secure coding best practices
Experience with load testing, performance tuning and instrumenting tools, both on Node and in the browser
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Willing to work with global project teams spread across several time zones

Nice to have

Working knowledge of at least one headless or hybrid headless enterprise CMS system
Experience with Koa, Remix, Next.js or Express
Basic understanding of K8s and experience with public cloud providers is a plus
Knowledge and interest in the financial services industry domain is a plus
