We are looking for a Junior Server Engineer to join our Bluebird team, working on-site at Budapest´s leading global energy provider.
Responsibilities
- Assist in building and installing Windows Server Software (2012–2019).
- Help maintain Microsoft and VMware infrastructure.
- Perform system and infrastructure log analyses.
- Identify potential issues and assist with resolutions (Level 2-3).
- Conduct routine system and software audits.
- Support server, storage, and backup system designs.
- Assist in managing storage systems (NetApp).
- Apply patches and configuration changes during scheduled maintenance windows.
- Monitor system performance and health, assisting in tuning and optimization.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of technical documentation and standard operating procedures.
- Gain experience in PowerShell scripting and automation
Requirements
- 2-3 years of experience with Windows Server Administration.
- Basic experience with server hardware (blades, towers, racks) and virtualization.
- Some experience in VMware administration.
- Exposure to backup and recovery solutions.
- Experience with IT infrastructure within large organizational environments.
- Fluent in English (written and verbal)
