We are seeking talented Observability Engineers at Medior and Senior expertise levels. The ideal candidate has strong experience with observability tools such as Dynatrace, Grafana, Prometheus, Elastic, Splunk, or Kafka, and is eager to adapt to new technologies and environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement observability stacks for Kubernetes-based cloud platforms, including the Erste Group’s infrastructure.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure end-to-end observability of cloud-native applications.
- Integrate, configure, and optimize monitoring tools such as:
- Dynatrace (critical for senior roles),
- Grafana, Prometheus, Elastic, Splunk, Kafka, and related platforms.
- Define and maintain telemetry data pipelines, including metrics, logging, and tracing.
- Develop and manage alerting systems and dashboards to ensure system reliability and performance.
- Support troubleshooting and root cause analysis by leveraging observability tools and data.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest observability technologies and trends, and proactively introduce improvements.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong expertise in Dynatrace, including implementation and optimization.
- Solid knowledge of Kubernetes and cloud-native observability.
- Proficiency with additional tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Elastic, and Splunk.
- Hands-on experience with telemetry standards such as OpenTelemetry or similar frameworks.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Excellent communication and mentoring skills to guide junior team members.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Knowledge of scripting languages like Python, Bash, or Go.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems
