Our client is an integrated European energy company. They are looking for a Python developer.
Job Description:
- Support the development of gas and power algo trading frameworks
- Optimize DevOps processes using Azure DevOps & Terraform
- Collaborate with business stakeholders including quants, traders and other developers to reach project goals
- Document codebase, APIs and technical specifications to facilitate understanding and maintainability for future developments
- Contribute to internal knowledge sharing initiatives by sharing insights, best practices and lessons learned from previous projects
- Stay updated on the latest trends, technologies and best practices in Python development and DevOps topics
Qualifications:
- 2-3 years experience in a similar role, University degree, at least bachelors in the field of computer science or software engineering, exposure to commodity trading industry advantageous
- Proficient in Python programming language, familiarity with Python libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, Matplotlib for data manipulation and analysis
- Experience in web development using React or Angular
- Understanding of relational databases and experience with MS SQL / Azure SQL
- Experience with Microsoft Azure, Azure DevOps repos, artifacts and pipelines, and Terraform is an advantage
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to find effective solutions
- Experience in agile delivery and working within project teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, business fluency in English
