We are looking for a Senior Test Engineer to join our international electronics manufacturing partners team to Budapest, with 1 day/week home-office opportunity.
Our partner is continuing to build its team in automotive In-Vehicle Infotainment platform development and integration. We are looking for talented professionals with expertise in testing for Android system and applications who can strengthen our partners team. You should be eager to bring their deep experience and fresh ideas into our automotive business. You will be responsible for verification and validation of the Android Head Unit SW modules.
The team
Our partners team consists of about 20 engineers working in Hungary, India and Poland. There is no dedicated test engineer in their team. You must be able to work independently on domain testing in a team of programmers. The colleagues are mostly senior engineers.
Your task would be 90% of manual testing. The selection process consists of 1 round of professional interview.
Expectation
- 5+ years of experience in SW testing
- Experience in manual testing of Android System and applications
- In-Depth understanding of -Requirement analysis – Test Case Creation – Test Case Execution – Sanity Test
- Knowledge of Android debug tools adb, logcat, emulator
- Knowledge of version control systems, CI/CD, practical experience with Git
- Experience with Linux as an experienced user
- Strong communication skills and Good English skills (writing, documenting, conversation)
Nice to have
- Exposure to Android build system
- Experience in automatic testing of Android System and applications
- Experience as a software developer
- Familiar with CDD, GAS and related test suites (like the Compatibility Test Suite)
- Knowledge of Testing Tools like CANOE, PCAN, DLT etc.
- Experience in automation of integration tasks with any scripting language (Shell/Python) will be an added advantage
- Work experience in Automotive domain
Responsibilities
- Manual test execution
- Work with automated test framework for Android
- Produce clear and concise test reports and provide feedback to development team on technical issues
- Analyze software architecture
- Participate in technical discussions with development team
- Provide accurate effort estimations on SW module verification
- Conduct research and develop for new technologies and products
- Write test cases and create detailed reports for the testing procedures
- Create/update documentation for the testing
